The foundation of learning is fueled by curiosity and creativity. At HEI Schools, we believe children's innate desire to wonder, inquire, delve into new ideas, and explore should be nurtured and celebrated. The curriculum activities at HEI Schools are intentionally designed to spark natural curiosity. When natural curiosity is acknowledged and nurtured, children begin to ask questions about the world around them.
Active participation fosters a sense of capability, ownership, and dedication. Children, similar to adults, thrive when they can take the lead and be proactive. We encourage participation by giving children opportunities to make decisions regarding their daily lives. This supports children’s growth as responsible members of society, while strengthening their confidence and sense of belonging.
Trust is like a superpower that simplifies everything. When there is a culture of trust within the school community, it allows everyone to concentrate on what truly matters, knowing that others are giving their best. At our preschools learning is approached holistically, where each interaction – with other children, teachers or nature – presents a possibility for learning. Exploration and curiosity are the key elements of learning. We promote children’s natural abilities to observe, analyze and understand the world around them. We support the development of children’s linguistic and mathematical skills through different activities in everyday life. Through science and environmental education, we strengthen children’s relationship with nature and support their awareness about the surrounding environment.
Learning Forms of Expression
At our schools, we support the learning and development of children’s various forms of expression. We familiarize them with different art forms and their cultural heritage. We offer children opportunities to express themselves through musical activities, visual arts/crafts and bodily/verbal expression.
Understanding The World We Live In
We support children in understanding diversity in their local community, as well as the practices that activate respect for diversity. We support children’s growth as conscious human beings, and help them to understand what it means to be an ethically responsible member of society.
Practicing A Healthy Way of Living
We focus on building a strong foundation for a healthy way of living which consists of physical activity, nutrition, rest, self-care and care of others. This learning area supports other learning areas and helps children manage their daily life and routines.
